I decided to take this challenge today, mainly because the first question has to do with music, one of my favorite topics.
What genre of music do you like?
I love all kinds of music, especially classical, contemporary Christian, light rock, and bluegrass. Right now I am a little obsessed with mandolin player Chris Thile. This is why:
The first time Thile came onto my radar was this video, which I watched because of Yo Yo Ma:
Thile also plays with Nickel Creek, Punch Brothers, and others. He can’t be confined to any genre, though. Here he is playing Bach:
What is the worst thing you ate this last week?
I didn’t eat a single thing this week that didn’t taste good. That’s my problem. The worst thing for me that I ate was vanilla ice cream with chocolate shell and mashed raspberries.
Would you like to be famous? In what way?
I don’t want to be famous famous, but I’d like to be a known writer. I’d love it if people followed my blog and if my books get published.
Complete this sentence: This sandwich could really use some …
Bread. For two years I’ve been eating a low carb diet (I know, ice cream with chocolate and raspberries is not low carb), and I feel so much better. There’s something to that gluten thing. Plus, I lost a significant number of pounds.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Each week has three high points for me: my critique group, Tuesday’s Children; dancing with the Phoenix International Folk Dancers; and my Bible study group. What makes me look forward to these events are the wonderful people who share them with me. They are my closest friends, other than my husband.
