What’s Blooming in my Yard Today

Prickly pear cactus:


Aloes. The flowers aren’t very pretty, but the trumpet shape of the individual blossoms attract beautiful iridescent green hummingbirds. I haven’t seen them yet, but they should be here any minute.


I don’t know the name of this ordinary hedge bush, but the flowers smell like plumeria.

  1. Lovely! I love this time of year with all the blossoms. That hedge with the white flowers is a natal plum. We used to have one in our yard when I was a kid.
