It’s time for Weekend Writing Warriors! Every Sunday, a bunch of writers post 8-10-sentence snippets from their WIPs on their blogs. There’s a lot of reading, commenting and great writing. Click on the link to see the full list.
After last week’s snippet, Bennet offers to make Willis a roast beef sandwich, and Willis walks to his study:
The peaceful silence of his home soothed his senses after the chaos of the airport and customs. As he made his way down the hall, he paused frequently to admire the photographs lining the walls. Himself with Cybill Shepherd. Must call Cybill tomorrow. Himself towering over Dustin Hoffman. He and Jean Shrimpton in evening attire. Himself between Sonny and Cher. Himself shaking hands with Paul Newman. He and Warren Beatty pointing index fingers at each other. Patti Boyd smiling up at him.
I know it’s short (the limit is ten sentences), but what do you think of this small excerpt from Chapter 8? Any suggestions on how I can make it better? Please leave your comments below.
