Wordless Wednesday: Pomegranate Progress

One day last May, my neighbor caught me outside with my camera. I confessed I was taking pictures of his pomegranates. IMG_0798

“Are you putting them on your blog?” he asked.

“Yes.”

“I’ll be famous,” he said.

So if you see Dave Winans, tell him you saw his pomegranates on ARHtistic License.

The pomegranate starts out as a red blossom.

See the bulbous section near the base of the bloom? That’s where the fruit will form and gradually ripen.

Unless it pops open prematurely and becomes a meal.
