This sculpture stands outside the public library and represents a map of our town. It’s a little too abstract for me. I think the roundish stacked structure toward the top left is the stadium at Arizona State University, which would make the long flat area behind it the Salt River. I’ve wasted many minutes here trying to find my neighborhood; I’ve never succeeded.
More Sculpture Saturday.
I’m thinking google maps satellite view might help?

That was a brilliant suggestion. It helped me with scale, and it also showed me that the sculpture does not correspond to a real map. Also, the brown piled structure isn’t really the stadium, as I said, but the Tempe Butte (also known as A mountain; see https://arhtisticlicense.com/2019/02/05/revisiting-a-mountain/); the stadium is nestled next to the east side of the butte.
So, my neighborhood would be located off the southern edge of the sculpture.
