Luna

when she’s not visible at all
we call her new
when we see her in all her glory
we say she’s full
when she shows a part of her self
we claim she’s a crescent
when we notice pockmarks on her face
we accuse her of containing a man
and when our shadow falls on her
we eclipse her altogether
