#dyicad2021 Day 1

Standard

Every June and July I participate in the Index-Card-a-Day Challenge, making a small artwork every day on a 3×5 card. In July I do double duty with World Watercolor Month, painting a small watercolor every day.

I’ve long admired oamyoamy’s Instagram page. She posts a drawn face every day. I’ve always thought I should do that, that I’d get really good at faces if I drew one every day. My son Andy knows I wish I could draw better, and for Christmas he gave me three art books, one for lettering, one for drawing mythological beasts (you know my unicorn obsession), and one for drawing people. I’ve already been using the lettering book, and I’ve decided to spend this ICAD working my way through the people book.
