Arg! It’s National Poetry Writing Month, and I don’t have a poem for Day 1, so I’m skipping to Day 2. The prompt is surrealist questions and answers.
This is how it ends What are you doing with that fog generator? The mood is not oppressive enough. How much salt is in the ocean? Not nearly as much as necessary. Where does the river go? It wanders wherever it wants. Why is the thunder so loud? It wants your attention. Do you know what I am longing to do? Longing is a waste of time. How long have you been lying in the gutter? I was born here, and here I’ll die. What will happen if I plant this acorn? The end of the world.
These are all really great! My favorite, poor fellow, “How long have you been lying in the gutter? I was born here, and here I’ll die.” 🙂

It has awesome words and ideas. It makes me think of the tornadoes in the states. May people stay safe. You wrote an awesome poem.
