Tonight I’m using Writer’s Digest April PAD prompt for Day 9: a number poem.
Obsession by ARHuelsenbeck driving past your house ten times to see if your car is there calling you nine times, hoping you pick up having eight different imaginary conversations with you going to seven different bars, hoping to find you there buying you six presents to make you fall in love with me changing my outfit five times so I look attractive for you baking you four cakes to win your heart crying myself to sleep for three months straight dyeing my hair twice hoping for even one kiss
Ooh! This is so poignantly beautiful!

Oh Andrea, your poem is so heavy with not just obsession but also desperation, especially in the final line! OI like the way it counts down to that one kiss.

Ditto to what Kim has said above. Poignant. Very well done.

LOL…You got the numbers going but no one should have to work this hard to find love.

I agree! I’m glad it’s not my story.
