A Photo a Week Challenge: Bridges

Standard

My daughter Katie invited me to visit Boyce Thompson Arboretum with her today. It was my first time, and I will be happy to return. The Arboretum in Superior, Arizona, is full of lush plants that thrive in the desert. I will be posting a photo essay soon, but for now, here is a footbridge for Nancy Merrill’s challenge:

My offerings for the Tuesday Photo Challenge prompt, bridge:

The first is at Tonto Natural Bridge State Park.

The next is a footbridge over the canal near my hone.

And finally, a merely decorative one in my neighborhood.

My entries this week are both footbridges. The first spans a nearby canal, and its underside used to be the home of hundreds of swallows that made their nests in the framework.DSC00291

The second is a cute landscaping feature in a neighbor’s yard.
